Director Joram Lürsen and writer Thomas van der Ree (Winchester McFly) teamed up for this years Dutch box office hit, The Resistance Banker. The film is selected as the Dutch Oscars entry 2018 for Best Foreign Language Film.

It tells the true story of two brothers who bankrolled the Resistance during WO II in Holland. It earned them two Golden Calfs – the Dutch Oscars:  the Golden Calf Audience Award and the Golden Calf for Best Film. The brothers are played by two of Holland’s finest actors Jacob Derwig and Barry Atsma. For his role as Gijs van Hall, Jacob Derwig was awarded the Golden Calf for Best Actor. The film is available on Netflix worldwide.
